A creative Pokemon fan known as Strife_jpg on Reddit showcased their latest original creation, sharing a picture of a handmade rug that looks just like the Game Boy Color cartridge of Pokemon Gold. The rug bears the same design as the original cartridge, featuring legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh in its center. This isn’t the first such creation of Strife_jpg, who previously shared pictures of rugs inspired by One Piece, Dragon Ball, the Game Boy Color cartridge of Pokemon Silver, and another featuring all the evolutions of Eevee.

In the comments to the Reddit post, users seemed impressed with the quality of the rug inspired by the Game Boy Color cartridge of Pokemon Gold. Strife_jpg explained that they create custom rugs for a living, although they don’t consider themselves a professional rugmaker. The artist sells their creations for those who would like to purchase a handmade gaming rug, with the Pokemon Gold one costing around $450. Some players also asked for custom rugs inspired by other popular Pokemon games, such as Game Boy Color’s Crystal and Game Boy Advance’s Emerald.

Inspired players regularly share their original creations on social media to showcase them to the Pokemon community. Recently, a Pokemon fan created a 3D version of the Ancient Mew card, another designed sneakers based on all the starter pocket creatures from the games, and several Pokemon lovers created new Paradox versions of their favorite pocket monsters. The upcoming DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet should give additional inspiration for creative Pokemon fans, who will undoubtedly continue to create content inspired by this popular franchise.
