Pokemon GO: Wingull Spotlight Hour And Bonuses

Pokemon GO Wingull Spotlight Hour

The Pokemon GO Wingull Spotlight Hour event commences on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 6 PM Local Time and concludes on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 7 PM Local Time. The mini-event is online for an hour between 6 PM and 7 PM, and Wingull experiences a notable increase in its wild spawn rate during that timespan. You can hunt for multiple Wingull and farm the Candy needed to evolve it into a Pelipper. Keep in mind that there is also a chance of a wild Shiny Wingull spawning while the event is live.

The Wingull Spotlight Hour also presents a Special Bonus of 2x Transfer Candy, which means you can earn double the Candy for transferring a Pokemon during the event hour. The more Pokemon you catch and transfer, the more Candy you get, which comes in handy while evolving that specific Pokemon.

Prepare thoroughly for the Wingull Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO by stocking up on Poke Balls, Incense, and Lure Modules. Attaching a Lure Module to a PokeStop or Gym and activating an Incense at the same time can significantly increase Wingull spawn rates while the Spotlight Hour event is active. Since Wingull spawns more in areas with rainy and windy weather, it would be extremely beneficial if the chosen PokeStop or Gym had such weather.

The more Wingull you can spawn and encounter, the faster you might match its Shiny odds. While the Shiny encounter isn’t guaranteed, increasing Wingull’s spawn rate is your best bet. Note that regular wild Pokemon have an average Shiny rate of 1 Shiny encounter for every 500 Regular variant encounters. While this is the rate provided by The Silph Road, some of you may encounter a Shiny Wingull in Pokemon GO faster than others, and vice versa.
