Niantic has fully pulled back the curtain for the next season of the developers' mobile hit, Pokemon GO. The next season, dubbed Adventures Abound, will be a momentous occasion, as Pokemon that debuted in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Paldea region are making their way into Pokemon GO, including the three starter Pokemon, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Sprigatito.

Pokemon GO Adventures Abound Start Time

Pokemon GO's 12th season, Adventures Abound, will start approximately on September 1, 2023, at 10 a.m. local time and run for three months until December 1, 2023, at 10 a.m. local time.

As previously mentioned, the Adventures Abound season will finally bring Paldean Pokemon into Pokemon GO for the first time; however, not every Pokemon from the region will be making an appearance, at least for now. Niantic is known for slowly rolling out monsters from a new region, giving trainers a drip-feed of creatures to catch and evolve.

The following Pokemon will be making their debut in Pokemon GO:

  • Sprigatito
  • Floragato
  • Meowscarada
  • Fuecoco
  • Crocalor
  • Skeledirge
  • Quaxly
  • Quaxwell
  • Quaquaval
  • Lechonk (Can be shiny)
  • Oinkologne
  • Nymble
  • Lokix
  • Pawmi
  • Pawmo
  • Pawmot
  • Frigibax
  • Arctibax
  • Baxcalibur
  • Bombirdier

Each Paldean starter Pokemon will need 25 Candy to evolve into their second form and then 100 Candy to evolve into their third and final form. Lechonk will need 50 Candy to evolve into Oinkologne. It's also worth noting that the starter Pokemon will be able to hatch from 5km Eggs after September 10, and Lechonk can hatch from 2km Eggs.

Unown A, D, E, L, and P will begin to spawn worldwide, and there will be a new Special Research story for Adventures Abound that will let trainers choose from one of the three Starter Pokemon. The research will be free for all players and can be claimed during the entirety of the upcoming season, which ends on December 1.

Of course, during the next three months, players can expect all sorts of fun events, like community days, spotlight hours, research stories, raids, and much more.
