The "Verdant Wonders" event is coming soon in Pokemon GO with new paid Special Research and the exclusive "Rogue Monkey" Pokemon, Zarude. Like a majority of Pokemon GO events, players will have a short window to purchase the new Special Research and take advantage of exclusive bonuses, such as additional encounters and reward drops.

Pokemon GO Season 14: World of Wonders began on March 1, and Niantic wasted no time revealing many of the new events coming in March and beyond. These events include new Primal Kyogre and Groudon Raid Day events, Weather Week, and the beginning of Pokemon GO Fest 2024 in late May. Each new event gives players an opportunity to earn new Pokemon and useful items that can help level up and grow their latest catches. The Verdant Wonders event offers similar benefits for players who choose to buy into the new Special Research.

Pokemon GO releases new Partner Research, but anyone interested in getting it must be subscribed to Amazon Prime.

Niantic confirms the new Pokemon GO Verdant Wonders event will last from Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, March 25, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time, with the paid "Rogue of the Jungle" Special Research story being available during that short window. Tickets for the Special Research will be available for $7.99 each, granting access to an encounter with Zarude after completing the Special Research story. While progressing the Special Research, players may earn two Premium Battle Passes, six Silver Pinap Berries, Five Rare Candies, an Incense, and additional encounters with Dark-type and Grass-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO.

Pokemon GO Verdant Wonders Brings New Paid Special Research

Incense will be more potent during the Verdant Wonders event, enabling encounters with Panpour, Pansage, Pansear, Cutiefly, Zorua, and a special Cottonee with a flower crown. The use of Incense may also bring encounters with Blue Flower, Red Flower, Yellow Flower, White Flower, and Orange Flower variants of Flabébé.

During Verdant Wonders, several Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild, regardless of the region the player is located in. These Pokemon include Bulbasaur, Oddish, Tangela, Hoppip, Poochyena, Nuzleaf, and Shroomish. Pokemon GO players will have access to Verdant Wonders-themed Field Research tasks. Completing these tasks grants encounters with Vulpix, Poliwag, Marill, Slugma, and many other Pokemon. Players may need to make frequent trips to local PokeStops in Pokemon GO since many Pokemon will be roaming the wild during the event.

Although Pokemon GO players must pay for a ticket for access to the Special Research story, the Verdant Flowers event offers a wide variety of Pokemon to collect. Collecting these Pokemon aids toward completion of the event's Collection Challenge, which offers extra rewards like XP, Stardust, and special Cottonee encounters. The event-themed Pokemon can be useful in Pokemon GO PokeStop Showcases as well since players can continue to accrue rewards.
