Pokemon GO users have a long wish list of features and improvements that they are hoping for, so it's no surprise that any time the game gets a patch the notes are quickly scoured for exciting news. The latest update arrives this morning, but unfortunately it isn't one of the most exciting. Unless you happen to own a popular peripheral...

The rollout of 0.93.3 started last night, but most Pokemon GO players will likely receive the update sometime today. No major features have been added or updated and most of the code seems to relate to minor bug fixes. Dataminers did find an interesting new sound file added to the game's assets, but that likely won't be used in the live game for quite some time.

One area of the game that does seem to be showing an improvement after the patch is the GO Plus device. The device has experienced connectivity issues since its release and, although the occasional patch has addressed the issue, it has still never been a very smooth experience. Apparently this patch takes some great strides towards improving those issues and users are already reporting a much better experience with the device.

Unfortunately, it's not all good news with this patch. Some players are reporting increased crashes and a new error message since the patch was installed:

"This device, OS, or software is not compatible with Pokemon GO ."

According to user reports, the error message doesn't appear with every login and seems to be a little random. Hopefully those issues are addressed quickly and players can get back to hatching eggs and trying to earn double XP. We'll post an update once Niantic works things out or addresses the issue.
