Pokemon GO players seem to be in for another Ultra Reward week with no timed special research, but that doesn't mean there isn't still a lot to do during the event. The third Ultra Bonus Reward began yesterday afternoon and features some exciting spawns who first appeared in the Unova region and a fresh rotation of Battle Raid bosses with the same theme for trainers to challenge.

It's been a very interesting month of Ultra Reward events that began with controversy over the odds of hatching a Deino (let alone a shiny one) and then the lack of timed research after the first week of bonuses. Despite the drama, the show must go on. Pokemon GO players have to settle for some interesting spawns and the chance to battle some different Pokemon in Battle Raids over the next week until the conclusion of the exciting three-week Ultra Reward period.

The list of Unova Week Battle Raid bosses is quite exciting and offers a solid variety of shiny opportunities, some previously very rare Pokemon, and a five-star boss that everyone is excited to add to their roster and hopefully find a shiny, as well. At this point it doesn't seem like these Battle Raid bosses are going to have a massive impact on the metagame, but there are still plenty of enemies who are worth using a Raid Pass or a Remote Raid Pass to take on.

Some of the most exciting highlights from the list include the possibility for shiny Genesect, Roggenrola, and Timburr. Although shiny Pokemon have no impact on actual gameplay or stats, collecting them is a very popular challenge that many Pokemon GO trainers have embraced. There are some players who have goals of obtaining an entire shiny Pokedex and dedicate many hours to hunting for shiny spawns or seeking out trades to acquire any shiny creatures that are currently available in the mobile AR game.

In comparison to the opportunity to encounter Deino and Gible and the offers of Enigma Week, Unova Week seems closer to the Dragon Week level of excitement. Many PoGO players are just hyped to start really filling in spots on their Unova Pokedex, so this event should offer plenty of opportunities for that and lots of new Pokemon and evolutions to start unlocking.

As trainers continue working through these events, they may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
