Pokemon GO trainers are finally just a few short days away from the culminating event of the Season of Heritage. GO Tour Johto is a massive one-day event that features some very exciting opportunities and will help players wrap up the Johto portion of their Pokedex.

Although there have been a few GO Tour events in Pokemon GO at this point, the events can still be a little confusing. The global festivity offers a ticketed experience that gives players who are willing to drop some real world money a handful of additional bonuses and features. That said, there are still plenty of activities for non-ticketed trainers to participate in, as well.

The difference between ticketed and non-ticketed features and bonuses can get confusing pretty quickly. There are collection challenges, special research opportunties, and various spawns and bonuses to keep track of throughout the short (but massive) event. Luckily, we have a full list of the two different categories available here ahead of time, so trainers can plan ahead and decide if the ticket is worth the price of entry, given their particular goals for the coming weekend…

  • Lugia caught during the event will know the special attack Aeroblast, while Ho-Oh caught during the event will know the new special attack Sacred Fire!

That intel should give trainers just about everything they need to know to decide if a ticket is worth the price for their own goals. Trainers will want to determine how highly they value shiny Pokemon and how close they are to a complete Johto dex. In the week ahead, we should learn more about what other events will be arriving during the final days of the Season of Heritage. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
