Pokemon GO's Spring into Spring 2023 event kicked off on Tuesday, April 4, and ends on April 10 at 8 PM local time. During this time, Pokemon GO players can find and complete a timed collection challenge.
Pressing the binoculars on the home screen, tabbing over to the Today tab, and then scrolling down, fans will find the Pokemon required for the catchathon. By checking every creature off the list, players can add an Elite Collector medal to their collection, as well as Stardust, XP, and a Lucky Egg. This guide will go over the collection challenge so players can quickly complete it to earn some goodies.
How to Complete the Collection Challenge During Spring into Spring 2023
To complete the Spring into Spring collection challenge, players must catch the following Pokemon:
- Whismur
- Bunnelby
- Flower Crown Buneary
- Marill
- Cherry Blossom Eevee
- Cherry Blossom Pikachu
- Cutiefly
Gamers must also evolve Cutiefly into Ribombee, Bunnelby into Diggersby, and Buneary into Lopunny.
It's also worth noting that Cutiefly can hatch from 2 km Eggs and also appears in 1-Star Raids.
Once all Pokemon are in the inventory, go to a PokeStop, mark the task as complete, and reap the rewards.
All Pokemon on the list actually have increased spawns during the Spring into Spring event, so they should be fairly easy to find in the wild. The Pikachu and Eevee line will be adorned with cherry blossoms, and there's a chance for Buneary to have the flower crown.
The harder part of the challenge are the three evolutions.
- To evolve Cutiefly into Ribombee, players will need to gather 50 Cutiefly Candy and then head to the Cutiefly's profile to activate the process. Using Pinap berries during Pokemon encounters can help players accrue bonus Candy, making the evolution process a little simpler.
- To evolve Bunnelby into Diggersby, players will need 50 Bunnelby Candy.
- And last but not least, to evolve Buneary into Lopunny, players will also need 50 Buneary Candy.
Can Cutiefly be Shiny?
Unfortunately, there are no shiny versions of Cutiefly or Rimbombee in Pokemon GO just yet.
