Pokemon GO's annual Psychic Spectacular event makes a return this week in Niantic's everlasting mobile game. What makes this event so special is that trainers will find increased spawns for several Psychic-type Pokemon like Abra, Drowzee, Ralts, Spoink, and others. This gives players the opportunity to catch a bunch of Psychic types and earn Candy to evolve most of them. And like other events, there are Research Tasks to complete, Collection Challenges, and other neat limited-time bonuses.
The featured Pokemon for the event this time around is the Psychic-type Solosis. The 'Cell' Pokemon will not only spawn more frequently in the wild and hatch from 7km Eggs, but it will also be the reward for every single Timed Research Task for Pokemon GO Psychic Spectacular 2023; however, that's not all.
Can Solosis be Shiny in Pokemon GO?
Yes! Solosis can be shiny in Pokemon GO, thanks to the Psychic Spectacular event. Players will get higher chances of getting a Shiny Solosis if they are hatched from eggs. Also, Solosis' two evolutions, Duosion and Reuniclus, have shiny variants, too.
How to Evolve Solosis in Pokemon GO
In the mainline Pokemon games, Solosis evolves into Duosion after hitting level 32. And then Duosion evolves into Reuniclus once it gets to level 41. However, Pokemon GO doesn't have 'levels' like the other games, so players must get Solosis Candy to evolve it.
Pokemon GO players will need to gather 25 Solosis Candies to evolve Solosis into Duosion. And then they'll need another 100 to get Reuniclus.
Since Solosis will appear more often in the wild until the event ends on September 24, there will be many chances to get its Candy. Catching all the Solosis' for the Timed Research rewards, transferring duplicates, and using the Psychic type as a walking buddy will net players tons of Candy in no time at all.
Best Moves for Reuniclus
For those looking to maybe try Reuniclus out in PvP battles, the best moves to have on it are Zen Headbutt and Future Sight. The Solosis line is weak to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type attacks, so be wary when bringing these Pokemon onto the battlefield.
