Even with the current global pandemic forcing Pokemon Go players inside, Niantic has managed to make swift and important changes to help those stuck at home continue to enjoy the experience. Part of that is kicking off a month long Throwback event, giving each Pokemon region a week in the spotlight. However, even with all that going on, the next Community Day is also on approach. Later this month, fans will be able to find Seedot all over the place.

The Acorn Pokemon Seedot will make its appearance in Pokemon Go starting on May 24 from 11am to 5pm. During this time, players may even encounter a shiny version of the Pokemon and those who are able to evolve Seedot into Nuzleaf during the event or two hours after it ends will get access to a Shiftry (the final evolutionary form) that knows the grass type move, Bullet Seed.

Thankfully, Niantic has also made some important changes to May's Community Day event to better accommodate players unable to get outside and walk around due to the current global crisis. The Play At Home edition gives three times catch experience, three hour incense duration, and lasts for 6 hours. In addition, players who use the Go Snpashot feature, where players can take a picture of their Pokemon using the device's camera will feature a special surprise.

The event also brings a couple new bundles and other items that can be purchased from the in-game store. A May Community Bundle gives players an Elite Fast TM, 30 Ultra Balls, three incense, and three lucky eggs for even more XP gain. In addition, a Community Day exclusive Special Research story called Seeing Double can be picked up for $1 USD. The quest has players working with Professor Willow as he discovers Seedot and it's evolutionary forms. Finishing the quest earns three incense, five Golden Razz Berries, and more.

The recent changes to the game have been largely viewed as successful by the community, making the game easier to play while being unable to get outdoors or go to their normal locations. With people stuck at home and practicing social distancing, Niantic increased the radius of raid battles, battle Pokemon left by other trainers, and drop off Pokemon. In addition, Remote Raid Passes were made available which let players take part in any Raids from a greater distance away. Spawn rates, research tasks, special player bonuses, and even 1 coin bundles were also made more prevalent to ensure all players can continue playing regardless of their situation.
