The first month of the Shared Skies season in Pokemon GO is coming to an end, and it's been a bumpy ride for Pokemon GO fans. While there have been some good events such as the Cyndaquil Community Day, fans have been a bit disappointed with the overall Pokemon GO spawn pool as well as the bugs that have been surfacing in the game lately. Thankfully, there is a new event happening in Pokemon GO pretty soon that is really good news for Scarlet and Violet fans.

In a new post on the Pokemon GO subreddit, user Mammoth-List9852 asks other players to lay down their thoughts about the new Pokemon GO Community Day announcement. Niantic recently announced that Tynamo will be featured in the July Community Day in Pokemon GO. While some players were indifferent to the reveal, others expressed their delight as they no longer had to catch the shiny variant of the Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which is actually an extremely difficult task to do. Now, players can simply catch the Pokemon in Pokemon GO and transfer it to Scarlet and Violet using Pokemon Home.

Why Is Catching A Shiny Tynamo So Difficult In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

There are multiple factors that make Tynamo a really difficult Pokemon to catch in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. First and foremost, its small size coupled with the fact that the shiny and regular variants look almost the same make it extremely hard to spot. Regular Tynamo is white in color, while its shiny variant has a tinge of blue. Things get even worse for the shiny version of its evolution Eelektrik, which only has certain parts of its body of a different color, which again closely resembles the regular Pokemon. The only clearly distinguishable shiny is the final evolution Eelektross.

Moreover, since Tynamo is a Water-type Pokemon, it makes it even harder to find the difference underwater, and the sunlight in the game makes it even more difficult. Additionally, auto battles are also restricted to Flying and Water types only, which again can be a hit or miss. With this new event, things become quite straightforward for Scarlet and Violet players. While players need to make shiny sandwiches in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to improve their shiny odds, Community Day gives them a stellar opportunity to simply catch the Pokemon as these events have really good odds of 1 in 25 of being shiny.
