Legendary Battle Raids are some of the most exciting Pokemon GO PvE activities in the mobile AR game. Not only do they include epic battles, but they also have some of the best rewards up for grabs. Getting the most value out of those high-level Legendary Battle Raids often means taking the time to carefully study each opponent and develop an optimal counter roster before heading into a battle. Doing that effectively means knowing every Pokemon's strengths and weaknesses.

When it comes to squaring off against a Legendary dual-type like Reshiram, players are going to need to stick to a careful strategy to take advantage of every weakness and avoid a super long list of resistances. Its Dragon/Flying-type pairing makes it a very popular choice in the PoGO metagame time and time again, so many players are going to want to catch as many as possible while it's available.

Reshiram is a Legendary Dragon- and Flying-type Pokemon. That means that Pokemon GO players are going to want to bust out their strongest Dragon-, Rock-, and Ground-types for these Raids. There are a handful of resistances that players will want to avoid as well if they hope to conserve Potions and Revives and really maximize their damage output during this challenging battle.

Reshiram is one of the hardest Pokemon to raid in Pokemon GO

Reshiram Weaknesses

As a Dragon- and Ice-type Pokemon, Reshiram is weak to Dragon-, Fairy-, Rock-, and Ground-types moves.

Reshiram Resistances (Avoid These!)

Reshiram is resistant to Fire-, Grass-, Electric-, Grass-, and Water-type moves.

Best Reshiram Counters

  • Dialga - Dragon Breath/Draco Meteor
  • Rayquaza - Dragon Tail/Outrage
  • Zekrom - Dragon Breath/Outrage
  • Rampardos - Smack Down/Rock Slide
  • Haxorus - Dragon Tail/Dragon Claw
  • Palkia - Dragon Tail/Draco Meteor
  • Salamence - Dragon Tail/Outrage
  • Dragonite - Dragon Tail/Dragon Claw
  • Garchomp - Dragon Tail/Outrage

That should be just about everything players need to know for this particular fight. As always, keep in mind that trainers don’t need the exact perfect list of counters in order to successfully take down the Legendary. Stick to the right counter-types (Dragon-, Ground-, and Rock-), enter the Battle Raid with a big enough group, and that should be enough in most cases. Don’t hesitate to burn through some Stardust, Rare Candy, and TMs in order to properly prepare for the big fight.
