When Pokemon introduced the regional forms of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, the legendary trio from Kanto received significant type and design changes. Galarian Zapdos, in particular, was the member of the trio that underwent the most radical makeover. Kanto's Zapdos has punctuated yellow plumage, reflecting its Electric/Flying-type. Galar's Zapdos has red and orange feathers, its legs are more prominent, and it becomes a Fighting/Flying-type.
