Redditor akanome29 had noticed a change with Poke Ball throws in Pokemon GO, and took to the site to seek confirmation from other players. According to the player, "it's almost like the ball can't get enough whip anymore," which was causing them to miss Nice, Great, and Excellent throws that they previously felt they would hit with ease. Even when the throw looks perfectly central, it doesn't register in-game as an Excellent throw. To make matters worse, this means that they're wasting their First Catch of the Day bonus on a normal throw, reducing the amount of XP they're earning daily.

Pokemon GO Players Are Having Poke Ball Problems

Several players in the thread agreed, with one claiming, "I thought I'd slipped into a parallel universe or even worse, lost my skill! Something's definitely changed and I'm not too keen." However, players couldn't agree on how long the issue had persisted, with some saying a few days, and others a couple of weeks. Recent Pokemon GO updates don't seem to have mentioned any change to Poke Ball throws, so it'll be interesting to see if Niantic addresses the apparent changes going forward.

Despite being released almost eight years ago, Pokemon GO still has a bright future ahead of it. This is because Niantic continues to support the game, updating it to keep up to date with the franchise's newer entries. Its unique gameplay means a new iteration isn't required, serving as a perfect platform to be updated for years to come. Just recently, a Pokemon GO developer teased more Galarian Pokemon coming to the game, showing how Niantic is working to bring as many designs into the game as possible. With just 20 Galarian Pokemon currently available out of 112 in Pokemon GO, it'll be an exciting addition. There's plenty to come from Pokemon GO in the future, and it's certain to be a fun ride.
