Pokemon GO has made a ton of changes over the last month or two to make the mobile AR game more play-at-home friendly as the world adjusted to social distancing precautions and stay-at-home orders in many states and countries. Although some states are beginning to remove some stay-at-home recommendations and parts of the world are beginning to return to normal, it sounds like Niantic is still making plans to keep the game play-at-home friendly in the near future.

A handful of Pokemon GO's new features and special spawns were already confirmed to available for a limited time only, but other features will be sticking around. The Remote Raid Passses, for example, are going to be a permanent feature and it sounds like PoGO is adding a new menu in the mobile AR to highlight what activities can be completed from home at any time.

The upcoming Play at Home menu in Pokemon GO is going to detail any recommended activities for users who are playing solo without leaving their home. This feature, combined with the Today view, should make it much easier to keep track of what is going on in the mobile AR game at any given time.

"There’s adventure everywhere! Even when you’re playing from the comfort of your home, there’s plenty to do in the world of Pokémon GO. The upcoming Play at Home section in the Poké Ball menu will soon be your go-to source for info on all the features that let you play the game in individual settings, wherever you are. Before Play at Home is released in the app, it will be available on the Pokémon GO website.

Play at Home will initially cover six categories: Catch, Gift, Battle, Research, Buddy, and Style. Take a quick refresher course on long-standing features, such as using Incense and dressing up your Trainer avatar with items from the Style Shop. You can also learn all about recent updates, such as how to get a daily bonus Field Research task without spinning a PokéStop and how to initiate a Trainer Battle via QR Code.

You can use all features detailed in Play at Home wherever you can play. We hope this guide will help you continue your Pokémon GO adventures."

For now, players may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
