Pokemon GO has launched the new Party Play feature. Pokemon GO has been around for seven years adding content to keep players engaged. This year is no different, with Niantic bringing more hot news to the Pokemon GO community.

At the beginning of the year, Pokemon GO added Shadow Raids, an extra challenging mode to the standard Raids. In Shadow Raids, Pokemon GO players face Shadow Pokemon, something previously available only as a reward for defeating Team Rocket GO. Another feature that debuted this year is the Routes, bringing a characteristic element of the main game series to Pokemon GO. With Routes, players document and share their walking routes with other players. Despite the rough debut, Pokemon GO keeps adjusting Routes to optimize the feature and make players' experience less frustrating.

Pokemon GO launched the Party Play feature, allowing players to team up. Unlike how Pokemon GO Raids Battles work, players host a party by accessing the Party tab via their in-game profile. The game will generate a numerical code or QR code to share with three Trainers nearby. Once the players have gathered and the host has started the party, Pokemon GO will take the guests back to the map. In the related tab, players see the activity summary divided into Pokemon, Throws, Adventure, Battle, and General categories. Celebrating the launch of Party Play, Pokemon GO players can take part in a Special Research and get exclusive Eevee-themed t-shirts for their avatars.

While Pokemon GO frequently holds various events regularly, the Pokemon GO leak that revealed Party Play said that the feature would have its own challenges. With the launch of Party Play, this information is now official. After forming a party, Pokemon GO players will see a notification asking which challenge they want to take in. These challenges can be catching Pokemon, spinning PokeStops, or battling in Raids, and players get rewards for completing challenges. Additionally, Party Play has a bonus called Party Power. This bonus doubles the damage caused by the player's next Charged Attack, and the more Trainers in the party, the greater the Party Power.

Party Play introduces a new form of interaction for Pokemon GO players, bringing them together in a more immersive experience. Despite the exciting announcement, some players have expressed concern about the privacy issues that Party Play could bring. Although this has the potential to become a problem for Pokemon GO players, Niantic is expected to update its Help Center with articles related to the new feature. As a result, Pokemon GO players can learn more about how Party Play works.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS.
