Although the September Community Day featuring Chikorita is right around the corner, it appears that Pokemon GO's October Community Day has leaked. While this leak appears to be very credible and legitimate, Niantic could always change its mind between now and the announcement, so players should temper their expectations.

Pulled from Niantic assets, it appears that the October Community Day will feature the Psychic- and Steel-type Beldum. Furthermore, it appears that its exclusive move will be Meteor Mash, which should excite many Pokemon GO players. If for no other reason, then the shiny version of Beldum, Metang, and Metagross is something special.

Beldum's Community Day image was found via one of Niantic's Google Cloud storage folders, so it seems that this leak is verified if not confirmed. Presumably, Meteor Mash is its special move because the Silph Road found it in the mobile ARG's APK not too long ago, so that's a logical connection between the two. Of course, the exclusivity of Meteor Mash is an educated guess, but it makes sense with Beldum taking October's spotlight.

Pokemon Go Community Day

Because of the generic background, many have questioned the legitimacy of this leak. However, it's likely that this is a placeholder image, and the background will change before being officially revealed by Niantic. When confirmed by Niantic, Beldum will be the first gen 3 pokemon to receive a Community Day, perhaps suggesting that the company is edging ever closer to that eventual gen 4 release.

With that Community Day set to occur on October 21, 2018, it's worth mentioning that the gen 4 release seems likelier. If like last year, Gen 4 is added for Halloween, then both Community Day and Mewtwo's raid ends just before the event would take place. Nevertheless, we won't know for sure until then, but we are pretty sure Beldum is getting this event. Until then, trainers, good luck out there!

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions for Android and iOS devices.
