Pokemon GO is set to start a new event that will introduce the next Mythical Pokemon. Keldeo, the Colt Pokemon is coming to the mobile game but only to players that purchase the premium event ticket.

Pokemon GO's Mythical Wishes season will start with an interesting event featuring another new Mythical Pokemon to the game. Keldeo, a Water and Fighting-type Pokemon, was introduced in the Pokemon Black and White generation of main series games and has two forms, Ordinary and Resolute form. The Mythic Blade event will introduce Ordinary Form Keldeo to Pokemon GO, but trainers will have to pay for a ticket to access the research tasks that reward this Mythical Pokemon.

Pokemon GO's Mythic Blade event will start on Tuesday, December 6 at 10:00 AM local time, and trainers wanting Ordinary Form Keldeo will have to pay $7.99 (or their regional currency equivalent) to access Something Extraordinary Special Research story. Starting December 10, ticketed players will receive the first part of the Special Research story. This must be redeemed between December 10 to 11 at 8:00 PM local time, but it can be completed at any time afterward to get Keldeo.

Ticketed players will also receive items including a Keldeo T-Shirt avatar item, 14 Rare Candies,12 Silver Pinap Berries, 2 Incubators, 2 Super Incubators, and 2 Incense. Ticketed Pokemon GO players will have increased spawns of Pokemon from Incense, excluding Daily Incense. These Pokemon will include Machop, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Beldum, Tympole, and Ferroseed, all of which have an increased likelihood of being shiny.

For non-ticketed players, a new Pokemon will join the game and get event-themed spawns with increased shiny rates. Crabrawler, the Boxing Pokemon, will make its debut. Wild Pokemon encounters will include Machop, Mankey, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Makuhita, Meditite, and their shinies, as well as Combusken and Monferno with no shiny spawns. Five-Star Raids will include Terrakion from December 1-8 and Virizion from December 8-15, and they will be able to know Keldeo's signature move, Sacred Sword. Keldeo will know this move when players finish the Something Extraordinary Special Research story. Select Pokemon GO Field Research Tasks during the event will reward Galarian Farfetch'd, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop with an increased chance of them being shiny.

December is a month already full of events that have their own premium ticket passes for added rewards. The upcoming Hoenn Mega Raid Day is already set to make players purchase more raid passes despite giving away some passes if they're searching for Pokemon with good PvP or Raid IVs. Reception to the event's signature Pokemon being locked behind a paywall has not been received well. Despite the event that introduced both forms of Shaymin also being a ticketed event, players are growing increasingly frustrated with the amount of monetized events in the game.

Pokemon GO is now available for Android and iOS devices.
