Pokemon GO fans are just hours away from a ton of new Galar Pokemon appearing in the mobile AR game and the final pieces of the behind-the-scenes code falling into place. Before the final phase of the Throwback 2020 Celebration kicks off, the latest update to the game's master file added the available move sets for almost every incoming Galar form Pokemon.
During this final phase of the Throwback Celebration and the ticketed Special Research, trainers are going to have the chance to hatch Galar form Pokemon from 7km Eggs, battle them in Raids, and earn encounter rewards with them for working through the Special Research. Once they've all been acquired, it'll be time to figure out how useful they're going to be in future Pokemon GO battles.
Many Galar form Pokemon are actually very powerful and offer some unique opportunities to capitalize on the current PvP metagame. Most will be pretty uncommon for the Battle Raid scene thanks to the competition from Legendary Pokemon, but a few may be useful on occasion.

That's everything we know at this point. Once these Pokemon are unleashed on the Go Battle League scene, it won't take long to figure out which ones are going to become staples of popular rosters and which ones are just going to be cool looking Gym fodder.
For now, players may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
