Pokemon GO's Mythic Blade event is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, December 6 at 10am to Sunday, December 11 at 8pm local time. During that timeframe, players can obtain some event-exclusive Field Research tasks by spinning PokeStops, and each one awards a Pokemon encounter. For those fans that are trying to decide if they should put their efforts toward pursuing the Mythic Blade Field Research in Pokemon GO, a complete list of its tasks and rewards can be found in this guide.

To note, while the Mythic Blade Field Research is freely available to all players, a ticketed Special Research story will be released at the end of the event. That Special Research is dubbed "Something Extraordinary," and it is the way by which players can obtain Keldeo in its Ordinary Form. That debuting Mythical Pokemon is certainly not the only reward that can be claimed by working through the Something Extraordinary Special Research, though, and fans can buy the ticket that unlocks it from the in-game shop for $7.99.

Galarian Farfetch'd Encounter

As players that peruse this list are sure to notice, the Mythic Blade Field Research tasks put some emphasis on catching Fighting-type Pokemon, and that should be quite an easy thing to do during the event. Indeed, numerous Fighting-type Pokemon, such as Mankey and Machop, will be appearing more frequently in the wild for the duration of PoGO's Mythic Blade event, giving players many opportunities to work toward completing these tasks. Notably, fans may also encounter Crabrawler while they are out hunting for Fighting-type Pokemon, as that Gen 9 Pokemon has just been added to the game.

With respect to the rewards that can be earned by completing Mythic Blade Field Research tasks, the Galarian Farfetch'd encounters are perhaps the most important. This is due to the fact that Pokemon GO fans must catch a Galarian Farfetch'd if they hope to complete the Mythic Blade Collection Challenge, and this event-exclusive Field Research is the only way to encounter that Pokemon at the time of writing. It is also worth mentioning that all the Pokemon awarded by the Field Research have a chance to be Shiny, giving fans some additional incentive to get out and spin PokeStops.

Pokemon GO is available now on mobile devices.
