With each Pokemon GO Battle Raid rotation, players need to take the time to study a new batch of enemies and figure out how to earn as many encounter rewards as possible. When it comes to Mega Raid rotations, sometimes that means taking a bit of extra time to study the new boss and determine how valuable the Mega Energy is going to be.
Trainers who decide that they want to stockpile some Mega Lopunny Energy and prepare for a future temporary Mega Evolution will need to take the time to update their counter rosters and prepare for the big fight. Luckily, this Pokemon GO Mega Battle Raid boss has four weaknesses, which should make forming a lineup of strong counters pretty achievable for the average player.
Mega Lopunny's dual Normal- and Fighting-type pairing leaves it open to some big weaknesses for players who take the time to carefully prepare for the fight. Trainers who frequent the Battle Raid scene likely already have some of the best Psychic-types powered up and ready to go, along with a handful of other counters for Mega Lopunny's other weaknesses.
Mega Lopunny Weaknesses
This Mega boss is a Normal-/Fighting-type, which means that Mega Lopunny is weak to Psychic-, Fighting-, Flying-, and Fairy-type moves.

Mega Raid veterans are well aware of this, but newer players should keep in mind that successfully completing a Mega Raid does not actually earn a Mega Pokemon encounter reward. Instead, players earn an encounter with the regular version of the Pokemon and some Mega Energy that can later be used to temporarily trigger a Mega Evolution. This is still a powerful reward and well worth the effort in many cases, but trainers should be sure to keep their expectations in check when it comes to Mega Raids. Be sure to enter the battle with a strong group of allies to ensure victory and make sure no Raid Passes are wasted on failed attempts.
