A Pokemon GO player took advantage of a rare opportunity to catch one of the Ultra Space Wonders event's new Pokemon by using a well-thrown Master Ball. Pokemon GO players only have a few more days left to capture the Ultra Space Wonders Pokemon before Pokemon GO Fest 2024 begins.

The Pokemon GO Ultra Space Wonders event began on Thursday, May 23, giving players the opportunity to encounter Ultra Beasts Naganadel, Blacephalon, and Stakataka from Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Players are able to obtain Naganadel by evolving Poipole, which is possible by using 200 Poipole Candy after catching 20 Dragon-type Pokemon with Poipole as a Buddy Pokemon. Blacephalon and Stakataka may be captured from five-star raids in the Western and Eastern Hemispheres respectively. Players who claim victory in the raid battle will also benefit from a double XP bonus, and Special Research Tasks may be completed for rewards such as XP, Rare Candy, Mysterious Components, and Poipole Candy.

Why Pokemon GO Should Leave One Region-Based Feature Behind

Pokemon GO is a game that can be played all across the world, but one region-focused game mechanic would be better off forgotten.

Reddit user SecondofNone showed off a newly-caught Blacephalon in Pokemon GO and asked the community if capturing the Ultra Beast with a Master Ball was worth the effort. Many members of the Pokemon GO community on Reddit believe SecondofNone's catch was worth it, since the Blacephalon has an HP stat exceeding 100. Some argue that Blacephalon is not worth catching with the Master Ball due to the Pokemon's lack of power and versatility as a fire raid attacker. However, it appears that SecondofNone is pleased with their catch, regardless of the community's thoughts, and the user plans to eventually max out their Blacephalon.

Pokemon GO Player Uses Master Ball to Catch Blacephalon

Shiny versions of Blacephalon and Stakataka are not available in the game yet, but some Pokemon GO fans could argue that the Shiny Pokemon may be worth catching with a Master Ball due to their elusive nature. The Ultra Space Wonders event will end on May 28, and it appears that Shiny versions are unlikely to appear during the remainder of the event. The possibility remains for these Ultra Beasts to return with Shiny versions being available for those lucky enough to encounter one in raid battles.
