After a bit of a breather, it is finally time for Pokemon GO fans to dive into what is likely going to be the final big event of the Season of Legends. Late April and early May brought the first half of the Luminous Legends event, but now it is time for Yveltal to swoop down and bring Luminous Legends Y Parts 1 and 2 with it.

Things kick off today with the start of Luminous Legends Y Part 1. This is a pretty massive event and Pokemon GO players are going to have a bit of time to enjoy it. The festivities span Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time. During that window, trainers will be racing around take advantage of special spawns, Raid Bosses, and Egg hatches while completing the event's limited timed research tasks and earning some very exciting rewards.

Trainers who like to plan ahead may want to study up on everything the event has to offer before heading out into their local communities to get started. There are a ton of special features and it'll take a bit of time to really collect everything that is up for grabs. Players can study the following list of features to help figure out the best approach based on their Pokedex completion at the start of the event and begin figuring out how they should prioritize their time over the next two weeks...

There's a lot to take in there, but that should be everything trainers need to know to get started on the event this week. Remember to let the Timed Research take priority and use those tasks and goals as an indicator about what to concentrate on if things are feeling overwhelming. Reaching the end of the chain will lead to some solid rewards, so it should be worth the grind for most players.

In the coming weeks, players should learn a lot more about what other events are on the way throughout the final weeks of the the Season of Legends. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
