Back in April, Poke Miners revealed that Contests are returning to Pokemon GO, but the only information was the focus on size comparison. Now, Poke Miners brings additional information stating that currently, the Contest of having the largest Pokemon is the only one available. To enter a Contest, the player needs to be in a PokeStop, and it is only possible to have one Pokemon at a time in a Contest. If the player tries to enter the Contest again, Pokemon GO will prompt them to transfer the Pokemon to a different Contest.

The info from Poke Miners also reveals that Pokemon GO players who have recently won a Contest will not be able to enter another Contest. It will also not be possible to enter a Contest if the Pokemon GO player has not claimed rewards from previous Contests. The data miners did not reveal when Pokemon GO will add the feature. The leak says, however, that Contests will have their own badge, ranks, and points that players can use to rank up. Contests were added as part of the Pokemon GO Tour Jotho, and players could sign up their Pokemon to participate in categories like Cute, Tough, and Cool.

Pokemon GO has seen a troubled time this year, but despite this, the game continues to offer new content for players. Niantic recently announced the A Valorous Hero event, which will be the debut of Mega Pinsir in Pokemon GO. The May Community Day is also confirmed and will feature the adorable Fennekin. With the return of Contests to Pokemon GO, the studio shows that it is paying attention to adding content that keeps the gameplay varied and fun.

Pokemon GO is available now on Android and iOS.
