2022 has already been a full year for Pokemon GO between major events and brand-new Pokemon joining the popular mobile game. Pokemon GO's "Season of Alola" event throughout the Spring brought the first members of the franchise's Gen 7 Alola region to the game. Niantic previously revealed that this year's "Pokemon GO Fest" would feature in-person events for the first time since 2019 with events in North America, Europe, and Japan. Now, the newest update from Pokemon GO is teasing its plans for the coming month with lots in store for July.

Fans of Pokemon GO have already been treated to plenty of news on what's to come for the game in July. Pokemon GO's newest roadmap reveals the legendary birds, classic Mega Evolutions, and more are set to feature in the game throughout July. Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will all feature in five-star raids throughout the month with each also receiving their own Raid Hours for the first three Wednesdays. The Pokemon Diamond legendary Dialga will also feature in 5-star raids and during the last week of July's Raid Hour. The game's weekly rotating Mega Raids will feature Mega Charizard X and Y for the first two weeks of July before rotating into Mega Pidgeot and Mega Gengar later in the month.

Niantic also detailed Pokemon GO's July events with the game's sixth anniversary event planned to run from July 6th to July 12th, as well as another mystery event featured at the end of the month. The post does little to reveal what will be in the end-of-July event, but does confirm that the event will "feature Pokemon debuts." Notably, the unknown event will start on the same day as Dialga's planned Raid Hour.

Pokemon GO has seen an eventful first half of the year and Niantic's plans seem to indicate the second half will see plenty of new content as well. Pokemon GO's "Season of GO" features increased spawns for a variety of Pokemon in specific biomes, like cities and forests. With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet set to release later this year, many fans have also speculated that the game will receive new regional variants, similar to Sword and Shield's release in 2019. Between live events and the game's anniversary, July looks to be a jam-packed month for Pokemon GO fans.
