Now that Pokemon GO'sFriends and Trading feature is rolled out to everyone level 10 or higher, trainers are diving into the new options headfirst. Players are adding Friends to their list and starting the process of grinding the 90 day commitment to reach Best Friend status. Along the way, they'll be trading lots of gifts with each other.

Pokemon GO Gifts are obtained randomly by spinning Pokestops or Gyms. Unlike Research Tasks, not every Stop has a Gift to pick up, but the item doesn't seem to be very rare and is easy to stock up on. Players then take these Gifts and send them to their friends with a little in-game postcard. The Gift is full of useful items, like Alolan Eggs, for players to accept.

Although the 7km eggs are the most popular item in the packages, there are a lot of other rewards available, as well. Here's a full list of everything players have been able to confirm could be obtained through the Gifts...

For the little effort that it takes to find and send Gifts, these rewards are actually pretty high value. The items are similar to what a trainer might receive from spinning a Stop themselves, but receiving them without any effort is pretty nice. The Gifts also increase Friend level, which is the primary motivation for sending and receiving them.

Niantic is expected to use the new Friend system as a building block for future updates and features. Keep an eye out for updates on that in the coming months. Until then, good luck out there, trainers.
