Pokemon GO recently wrapped up its holiday events, but the mobile game is already bouncing back with a load of new special events and bonuses. Players looking to pick up some new Pokemon are likely most excited by the recent Battle Raid rotation, which offers trainers the chance to brawl against some newer enemies.

Although the level four and five Pokemon GO Battle Raids obviously have the most exciting rewards, there are still some good Pokemon to catch from the lower Battle Raids and the added bonus of potentially taking down the bosses solo. The current availability of Crawdaunt provides a great solo option for players who are willing to do just a big of homework and prep for the big fight.

Pokemon GO raid week boss list

Crawdaunt's solo difficulty is a little more challenge than a boss like Sharpedo, but it's still very doable. For best results, players will want Fighting- and Electric-type Pokemon, but Crawdaunt is also weak to Grass-, Fairy-, and Bug-type moves. These would be the best counters to bring into the Battle Raid...

Machamp - Counter, Dynamic Punch

Raikou - Thunder Shock , Wild Charge

Electivire - Thunder Shock, Wild Charge

Breloom -Counter, Grass Knot or Dynamic Punch

Zapdos - Thunder Shock or Charge Beam, Thunderbolt ELECTRIC

Roserade - Razor Leaf, Solar Beam

Venusaur - Vine Whip, Frenzy Plant

Sticking with that game plan should put trainers in a perfect position to dominate the level three raid and take down the boss without any help. Obviously keep in mind that the above Pokemon should be powered up and have decent IVs.

Be sure to check back soon for more guides, updates, and news. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
