How to Get Shiny Crabrawler & Shiny Crabominable in Pokemon GO
In Pokemon GO, shiny Crabrawler and shiny Crabominable are making their in-game debut with the arrival of the Pokemon GO Fest 2024 event. This event is broken up into three in-person, Regional events - Sendai (Japan), Madrid (Spain), and New York (USA), which will kick off starting May 30, 2024. Following these in-person Regional events, GO Fest will also have a worldwide global event taking place from July 13, 2024, at 10 AM local time, to July 14, 2024, at 6 PM local time. In particular, Shiny Crabrawler and Crabominable are making their debut when theGO Fest Madrid event begins, meaning they will become available to encounter in-game from June 14 onwards.
Usually, Crabrawler can be found as a normal wild encounter, and has previously appeared as a 1-Star Raid Boss, while Crabominable has only been obtainable through evolution. However, During the 2024 GO Fest event, players will be able to obtain Crabrawler and Crabominable with increased spawn rates, which makes a brilliant opportunity for shiny hunting.
While events that increase the spawn rates of certain Pokemon don't improve the rate for a shiny variant of this species to appear, the more frequent spawns give players more opportunities to meet these lucky odds, therefore providing a great opportunity for shiny enthusiasts to get their hands on these rarities.
Specifically, Crabrawler can be encountered during the Pokemon GO Fest Madrid in-person event, in the Rocky Shore Habitat exclusively. In addition to this, Crabrawler will also be available in the GO Fest Global worldwide follow-up event. On day 1 of the Go Fest Global event, Crabrawler can be encountered during the Darkest Night assortment of Pokemon, which will appear between 1 PM - 2 PM, and 5 PM - 6 PM, local time. On day 2, Crabrawler will be available to be encountered all day long.
As this is one of several Pokemon that can spawn frequently during these set times and one of many Pokemon who can spawn during day 2, you may want to attempt to boost the amount of Crabrawler that appears by boosting general wild spawns.
