Pokemon GO developers leave no stone unturned to keep the engagement thriving. Players see new Pokemon, events, and Shiny variant debut almost monthly. The recent addition to the game’s meta is Passimian, a solo Fighting-type attacker. Passimian is debuting as a feature in the recent 2023 World Championships Celebration event.

New Pokemon and Shiny releases usually occur during special events, and this time is no different. The Pokemon GO 2023 World Championships Celebration event starts on Friday, August 11, at 10 AM and ends on Tuesday, August 15, at 8 PM local time. The event also offers an encounter with Shiny World Championships 2023 Pikachu and several other Shiny Pocket Monsters. That said, here is everything about catching Passimian and the availability of Shiny Passimian in the game.

Pokemon GO World Championships Celebration: Passimian and Shiny Passimian availability

World Championships Passimian in Pokemon GO

Despite multiple Shiny variants rampant during the Pokemon GO World Championships Celebration event, Shiny Passimian is still unavailable in the game. The developers at Niantic rarely release a Shiny counterpart and its original variant on the same event. The same is true with Shiny Passimian; although players have multiple ways to get a Passimian, developers have yet to add its Shiny variant to the game.

World Championships Celebration Field Research: Passimian

Players can also get Passimian through Research quests. The World Championships Celebration offers multiple Research quests; among them is the standard Field Research. The World Championships Celebration Field Research quest presents players with numerous tasks, and one of them rewards a Passimian encounter. Successfully trading a Pokemon during the World Championships Celebration will reward a Passimian encounter.

World Championships Celebration Three-Star Raids: Passimian

Trainers can get Passimian from Three-Star Raids during the World Championships Celebration event. One requires proper knowledge of Passimian’s meta and counters to win against the raid boss. Since Passimian is weak against Fairy, Flying, and Psychic-type attacks, one should use monsters with STAB potential moves of these types. After defeating the raid boss, Pokemon GO players can encounter the monster near the raid location. The more raids players win, the more Passimian they can encounter.
