In Pokemon GO's Harvest Festival, trainers will be able to encounter primarily a variety of Grass- and Bug-type Pokemon. These include a new evolution to look out for as well. The three new Pokemon making an official Pokemon GO debut are Smoliv, Dolliv, and Arboliva. Smoliv must be obtained through wild encounters, while its evolutions come from Smoliv candy. Doliv requires 25 Smoliv Candy to evolve, and Arboliva requires 100 Smoliv Candy.

As far as new wild encounters go for the 2023 Harvest Festival, there will be fourteen primary Pokemon:

  • Bellsprout
  • Exeggcute
  • Sunkern
  • Wurmple
  • Combee
  • Sewaddle
  • Cottonee
  • Petilil
  • Pumpkaboo
  • Bounsweet
  • Smoliv

There are also region-specific wild Pokemon GO encounters to look for in the Harvest Festival. In Europe, The Middle East, and Africa, there will be Red Flower Flabébé encounters. In Asia and the Pacific region, there will be Blue Flower Flabébé encounters, and in the Americas, there will be Yellow Flower Flabébé encounters.

In addition to the new wild encounters coming to Pokemon GO with the Harvest Festival, there are plenty of new Field Research Task Encounters as well. The Pokemon that can be obtained through these Field Research Task Encounters vary. These Pokemon are Plant Cloak Burmy, Sand Cloak Burmy, Trash Cloak Burmy, Pumpkaboo, and Smoliv. There will be plenty of opportunities to get these Pokemon during the window that the Harvest Festival lasts, but fans should be mindful and keep an eye out for them.

Perhaps one of the most exciting things to look forward to in the Pokemon GO 2023 Harvest Festival is the Event Bonuses. There are several new Event Bonuses to expect that each bring a new variation to the gameplay. For instance, when catching a Pumpkaboo, trainers will receive additional Pumpkaboo candy. Also, when a Mossy Lure Module is activated during the event, it will have a duration of two hours. Mossy Lure Modules activated during the Harvest Festival event will also be more likely to attract wild Pumpkaboo.

To go along with the new content coming to Pokemon GO during the Harvest Festival is the Tickets of Treats Paid Time Research. The Tickets of Treats Paid Time Research offer will last through the month of October and will essentially be an additional research opportunity that changes each week. Each week, a new Tickets of Treats Paid Time Research will be unlocked and provide trainers will an opportunity to participate in various tasks that are related to whatever that specific week's event is.

During the week of the Harvest Festival, Tickets of Treat Paid Time Research tasks will reward a Mossy Lure Module and chances to encounter a Pumpkaboo. Players can complete the task before Tuesday, October 31, 2023. The Paid Time Research costs $5 USD, or the equivalent.
