Froakie is one of the cutest little Pokemon as it is a tiny little blue frog that then evolves into Frogadier and then Greninja, a stronger and bigger version of Froakie. Greninja is a Pokemon that can learn some pretty cool and strong moves in Pokemon GO.
The next community day is just around the corner, and it will be centering around this froggy. This weekend, players will get the opportunity to collect some Froakie, level them up, and teach them new moves. Below is everything to know about the Froakie event for Pokemon GO.
Froakie Community Day Event
Froakie's community day takes place this weekend on August 13, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time. The four-star raids will take place from 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. local time, giving players something to participate in during the later hours of the day.
Trainers will be able to get a special attack for Froakie when it evolves into Greninja from Frogadier during the event or up to five hours afterward when the raids are still going on. The Greninja will know the move, Charged Attack Hydro Cannon. Below are the stats of the move.
- Trainer Battles: 80 power
- Gyms and raids: 90 power
When the event starts, as well as afterward, Trainer's Greninja will also be able to learn the Fast Attack Water Shuriken; the stats are also below as well.
- Trainer Battles: 6 power
- Gyms and raids: 10 power
Frogadier Raid Battles
Frogadier will be included in the four-star raid battles, as well as each time a raid has been completed; a Froakie will also appear around that Gym where the raid had been hosted, but only for 30 minutes, and it will have a chance of being a Shiny, but it will have the same percentage chance as all other Froakie that appear during the 3-hour community event time. Also, remember that these raids can only be joined while local. Before the event, it might be good to learn the best move set for Froakie so trainers are as prepared as they can be for the raids.
Other Community Day Information
During the community day event, there will be items that players can get, including purchasing a ticket for the themed event to participate in the Special Research story before it ends, where players can get bonus rewards. As usual, there will also be different stickers that trainers can purchase to send to their friends even after the event has come and gone. Below are the event bonuses that players can get while participating.
- 3x Stardust for catching Pokemon
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokemon
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust
