Pokemon GO has announced a new event that will add two Gen 9 monsters. Pokemon GO players can already find the complete Pokedex of some regions in-game. The ones whose pocket monsters are not yet 100% available, Niantic keeps gradually bringing to Pokemon GO.

This year, players welcomed Paldea with Pokemon GO adding Scarlet and Violet Pokemon. The Paldean Adventure event added Gen 9 starters and their evolutions, accompanied by Lechonk and its later forms. On another occasion, Pokemon GO brought more Pokemon Scarlet and Violet monsters, including the Pawmi evolutionary line. Smoliv, Dolliv, and Arboliva were introduced in the first half of the month, and recently Greavard and Houndstone made their first appearances. This time Pokemon GO has announced another event with more Pokemon from Paldea for players.

Pokemon GO has announced the Festival of Lights event which starts on November 7 at 10:00 AM and ends on November 12 at 8:00 PM local time. The Festival of Lights marks the debut of Tadbulb and Bellibolt, two of Scarlet and Violet's new Pokemon. Players will see 12 Pokemon in the wild more often, including shiny Morelull, which will be available for the first time in Pokemon GO. Trainers who use Incense will increase their chance of encountering 11 other Pokemon, including Alolan Geodude and Hisuian Voltorb.

The Festival of Lights will give double Stardust and Candy for hatching Pokemon, and the Incense activated during the event will last twice as long. By taking part in Timed Research focused on catching and hatching Pokemon, trainers will win an exclusive shirt for their avatars and encounters with event-themed Pokemon. Completing the Field Research tasks will be rewarded with Darumaka, Morelull, and Tadbulb encounters. Meanwhile, 7 km eggs will hatch Elekid and Magby, two of the adorable baby Pokemon, along with Morelull and Dedenne. Pokemon GO will add a new avatar item, introduce PokeStop Showcases focused on Litwick and Tadbulb, and give exclusive bonuses to players from India. The Festival of Lights announcement also asks the community to stay tuned for Raid Day on November 11 but doesn't give further details.

The current Pokemon GO season has been full of events offering something for its player base to look forward to. One example is the launch of the Party Play feature, providing a new way for Pokemon GO players to have fun in the game. For fans of Electric-types, the Festival of Lights will be a nice opportunity to add two new Pokemon to their parties, gather resources, and hopefully get shiny variants of the featured critters.
