Pokemon GO has been hosting its big Pokemon GO Fest 2023 events at specific locations, but soon everyone will be able to get in on the action. Pokemon GO has detailed its plans for Pokemon GO Fest 2023 Global, which will include a premium Special Research ticket, new shiny Pokemon, and more.

The Pokemon GO Fest 2023 Global event will take place from Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27 at 10:00am to 6:00pm local time each day. While the event is free, those willing to shell out $14.99 for a ticket will unlock Special Research that includes an encounter with Mythical Pokemon Diancie, along with various other bonuses. Everyone regardless if they purchase a ticket or not will be able to enjoy the game's rotating habitats, which will be available twice each day and rotate each hour. The times will be the same for both Saturday and Sunday.

Ticket-holding Pokemon GO players can work together to complete special challenges during each habitat hour on Saturday. If Pokemon GO players collectively complete 20 challenges, they can enjoy the Ultra Unlock bonuses. These include a special adventure, raids, free time research, first-time shiny Pokemon that have yet to be revealed, 4x catch XP, 4x stardust, and a special event that will take place from Sunday, September 10 at 10:00am to Friday, September 15 at 8:00pm. The event will add new bug-type, electric-type, flying-type, and ice-type Pokemon to the game, though the identity of these Pokemon have not been revealed at the time of this writing.

Details on this adventure have yet to be revealed, but it was recently teased that Paldea region Pokemon would be making their debut in Pokemon GO soon, so perhaps the mysterious event will see them finally added to the game.

There's even more to look forward to when it comes to the Pokemon GO Fest 2023 Global event. New Field Research tasks will be available from PokeStops each hour from 10:00am to 6:00pm on August 26, more first-time shiny Pokemon will be available to catch, and players will be able to take advantage of the handy Raid Ready button to jump into raids faster than ever. While fans will need to pay $14.99 to get the most of their Pokemon GO experience, there should still be no shortage of things for players to do during Pokemon GO Fest 2023 Global this weekend.
