Pokemon GO just wrapped up its Bug Out event, but now Niantic is already looking ahead to the popular mobile game's next event. The next event in Pokemon GO is Eggstravaganza 2019, and it will take place from April 16 at 1:00pm PDT to April 23 at 1:00pm PDT.

In a post, Niantic revealed the first details for Pokemon GO Eggstravaganza 2019 and exactly what the event will entail. As revealed by Niantic, Pokemon GO Eggstravaganza 2019 will add baby Pokemon like Magby, Pichu, and Smoochum to 2km eggs, and it will also change up the egg hatching pool by adding Pokemon that are usually only found in the wild. Players will also enjoy 2x candy when they hatch eggs during the event, 2x Incubator effectiveness, and lucky eggs that will last twice as long.

While these bonuses will all be appreciated by Pokemon GO fans, the headlining Pokemon GO Eggstravaganza 2019 feature is the addition of shiny Buneary. When Pokemon GO Eggstravaganza starts on April 16, shiny Buneary, and by extension its evolved form Lopunny, will both be available for Pokemon trainers to catch.

Niantic has also said that there will be limited-time Pokemon GO Eggstravaganza Field Research tasks as well. If past events are anything to go by, these tasks will likely be themed after the event, meaning players will be challenged to hatch as many eggs as possible in exchange for rewards. The full list of Pokemon GO Eggstravagnaza Field Research tasks should become available prior to the event's start on April 16.

Eggstravaganza 2019 should be a bit easier for Pokemon GO players to hatch eggs. Since last year's event, Niantic added the Adventure Sync feature, meaning players can hatch eggs without actually having the Pokemon GO app open on their phone. The Pokemon GO Plus accessory should also make it easier for Pokemon GO fans to hatch eggs and complete as many Eggstravaganza 2019 Field Research tasks as possible.

Pokemon GO is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
