There is a Special Research story at the center of Pokemon GO's Dratini Community Day Classic, and it unfolds over the course of four steps. Not everyone will have access to this event-exclusive Special Research, though, as it must be unlocked by purchasing an Event Ticket for $0.99. For those players that are trying to determine if they should take on this expense, a complete list of the tasks and rewards featured in Pokemon GO's Dratini Community Day Classic Special Research can be found in what follows.
To note, players that purchase an Event Ticket need not complete the event-exclusive Special Research before PoGO's Dratini Community Day Classic concludes at 5pm local time on November 5. Many of the tasks will be more difficult to address after the event ends, though, and fans are thus advised to get them done during the Community Day if at all possible.

- Make 5 Nice Throws (20x Dratini Candy)
Step 1 Completion Rewards: 2,000 Stardust, Dratini Encounter, 1x Incense
Step 2
- Catch 15 Dratini (30x Dratini Candy)
- Transfer 10 Pokemon (Dragonair Encounter)
- Evolve 3 Dratini (10x Pinap Berry)
Step 2 Completion Rewards: 1,500 XP, Dratini Encounter, 1x Lure Module
Step 3
- Make 3 Great Curveball Throws (50x Dratini Candy)
- Evolve 1 Dragonair (1x Lucky Egg)
- Transfer 10 Pokemon (15x Great Ball)
Step 3 Completion Rewards: 2,500 XP, 1x Rocket Radar, 15x Ultra Ball
Step 4
- Claim Reward (2x Silver Pinap Berry)

The tasks that make up the Dratini Community Day Classic Special Research put a great deal of emphasis on the Dragon-type Pokemon and its evolution. Fortunately, Dratini has an increased spawn rate for the duration of the event, which will make it easy to catch many of them. There is also a Field Research task associated with the event that can award a Dratini encounter upon completion, providing yet another opportunity to catch the Dragon-type in Pokemon GO.
With respect to the rewards that can be earned by completing the Dratini Community Day Classic Special Research, they are almost identical to the rewards that were offered through the Bulbasaur and Mudkip Community Day Classics that occurred earlier this year. As such, PoGO players that participated in those past events are unlikely to be very surprised by the rewards that are available in this latest Community Day Classic.
