Drapion Weaknesses in Pokemon GO
When starting a Raid Battle with Drapion, you'll want to consider all of its weaknesses to defeat it more easily. Drapion is weak to:
- Ground
As Drapion is a Poison and Dark-type Pokemon, it will only be weak to Ground-types. When in battle with Drapion, you'll want to focus on a team that is almost entirely Ground, or has Pokemon that have Ground as one of their types. Drapion does have quite a few resistances as well, including:
- Dark
- Ghost
- Poison
- Psychic
- Grass
You'll want to avoid these types all-together, and any Pokemon that might be Ground, but has one of these as their second type. Keep in mind that Drapion has a wide variety of attacks, with an arsenal of Ice, Water, Poison, Dark, and Bug-type attacks. Make sure to take this into account when choosing the right Pokemon to bring along. Ground-types will be weak to any Ice attacks from Drapion.

How to Get Shiny Drapion in Pokemon GO
As with any Shiny version of a Pokemon in Pokemon GO, there is no guarantee that you will come into contact with a Shiny Drapion after your Raid Battle. However, to increase your chances of encountering a Shiny Drapion, you can defeat Drapion in multiple Raid Battles rather than just one or two.
Outside just defeating Drapion multiple times to increase the rate of a Shiny appearing, you can also stick to the Raid location to see if a Shiny Drapion appears. The more you defeat Drapion, the higher the chance of stumbling into its Shiny version. Shiny hunting takes patience, since it is random and not guaranteed.
