Niantic confirmed that Diancie will finally debut in Pokemon GO. Pokemon GO recently started Season 11 with new content to entertain players. But one event confirmed before Season 11 is the highlight of Pokemon GO's calendar. This year's Pokemon GO Fest will take place in August, with the annual celebration of Pokemon GO happening in the U.S., U.K., and Japan. The cities of New York, London, and Osaka will host in-person activities to unite local Pokemon GO communities, including wild Pokemon encounters. In addition to the in-person events, Pokemon GO Fest 2023 will have a global portion where all players can participate, even if they don't have a festival ticket.RELATED: Pokemon GO Confirms June 2023 Community Day PokemonAfter much speculation, Pokemon GO will see the debut of Diancie during Pokemon GO Fest, increasing the list of Fairy-type Pokemon available in the game. Ticket holders will have access to Diancie's Special Research during the in-person and global portions of the event. Pokemon GO Fest also marks the debut of Carbink, another Rock/Fairy-type Pokemon from Gen 6, which will appear on August 27 and 28. The event will feature bonuses including hour-long activated Lure Modules and an increased limit on Remote Raid Passes. Another new feature of Pokemon GO Fest Global includes four habitats available on Saturday hourly with specific Pokemon spawns.

The Quartz Terrarium habitat will have Pikachu wearing a quartz crown, Heracross, East Sea Shellos, and Buneary, while Pyrite Sands will have Pikachu wearing a pyrite crown, Trapinch, Gible, and Joltik. The Malachite Wilderness will have Pikachu wearing a malachite crown, Roselia, and Oranguru. Finally, the Aquamarine Shores habitat will have Pikachu wearing an aquamarine crown, Marill, West Sea Shellos, and Goomy. On Sunday there will be no rotation of habitats, and Pokemon can be found at any time. Ticket holders will have access to Incense Encounters and can find Hisuian Growlithe (Quartz Terrarium), Pawniard (Pyrite Sands), Carnivine (Malachite Wilderness), and Pachirisu (Aquamarine Shores). Players will also encounter different Unown, one of the hardest critters to find in Pokemon GO.

Pokemon GO Fest is the most important event of Niantic's game, and it always brings some news to players. Last year, Pokemon GO players encountered Shaymin at Pokemon GO Fest, with Shaymin making its global debut almost a year later. Diancie will debut in Pokemon GO in a relatively similar fashion, which leaves an expectation for whether the mythical Pokemon will make a "second debut" as it happened with Shaymin.

Pokemon GO is available on Android and iOS.
