Tier three Battle Raids in Pokemon GO aren't nearly as challenging as Legendary and Mega showdowns, but they still have some solid rewards for players to claim. The lower difficulty Battle Raids provide players the opportunity to grab some XP, items, and encounter rewards with much smaller group sizes, which is an appealing offer for many fans of the mobile AR game's PvE offerings.

Although Tier 3 Pokemon GO bosses like Delibird are possible to solo, that is only the case if players understand the boss' weaknesses and assemble a strategic counter roster. Each Pokemon has its own strengths and weaknesses and part of preparing for an effective Battle Raid means studying those weaknesses and forming a respectable counter roster. Players who are ready to face off against Delibird have a handful of important weaknesses to focus on to maximize their performance in the Battle Raid.

Delibird's dual Flying- and Ice-type gives players a handful of weaknesses, including one 2x weakness to focus on as they build their counter roster. With a double weakness and just a few resistances to consider, pulling together a solid roster for this fight shouldn't be too challenging for the average player. Although tier 3 Battle Raids aren't as challenging as Legendary and Mega showdowns, trainers may still want to take the time to spend some Stardust, Candy, and Elite TMs to get everything in order before the fight.

Pokemon GO Delibird teaseDelibird Weaknesses

This tier 3 Battle Raid boss is a dual Ice- and Flying-type, which means that Delibird is 2x weak against Rock- and weak against Electric-, Fire-, Steel-, and Steel-type moves.

Delibird Resistances (Avoid These!)

Delibird is resistant against Bug-, Grass-, and Ground-type attacks. Players should avoid putting Pokemon reliant on those move types in their lineup.

Assembling a counter roster based on those suggestions should be all it takes to defeat Delibird in tier three Battle Raids. Be sure to stick to the recommended counter types and enter the battle with enough allies around to help out and earn that one attempt victory. High level players with the best counters can technically solo this tier three raid boss, but players who want to play it safe should enter the fight with one or two friends instead to secure a successful battle.
