The latest Pokemon GO debut has arrived and players can now find a few different ways to encounter Dedenne, add it to their Pokedex, and start stocking up on Candy. For the remainder of the Festival of Lights event, which concludes on November 14, players should be able to find the cute little Pokemon on the lowest tier of Battle Raids.
Considering it is only a one-star boss, most Pokemon GO trainers should have zero difficulty taking Dedenne down solo while it is available. That said, it would still be wise for Pokemon GO players to take a moment to familiarize themselves with Dedenne’s weaknesses and resistances to make the battles go as quick and smooth as possible.
Dedenne is an Electric/Fairy-type, which means players have two weaknesses that they’ll want to exploit. Ground- and Poison-types are going to be strong against Dedenne, so trainers should have a lot of meta-relevant options for easily taking down the 1-star Battle Raid boss. That is what players will really want to focus on while constructing a counter roster before heading into these battles...
Best Dedenne Counters
Landorus (Therian) - Mud Shot/Earthquake
Excadrill - Mud-Slap/Earthquake
Groudon - Mud Shot/Earthquake
Rhyperior - Mud-Slap/Earthquak
Landorus - Mud Shot/Earth Power
Garchomp - Mud Shot/Earthquake
Roserade - Poison Jab/Sludge Bomb
Krookodile - Mud-Slap/Earthquake
Golurk - Mud-Slap/Earth Power
Toxicroak - Poison Jab/Sludge Bomb
Golem - Mud-Slap/Earthquake
Mamoswine - Mud-Slap/Bulldoze
Again, the average player should be able to defeat this Battle Raid boss solo, but it doesn’t hurt to enter with a few friends if that is an option. Raiders should have a decent amount of Ground- or Poison-types Pokemon powered up should be in for an easy battle this time around. Don’t hesitate to burn through some Stardust, Rare Candy, and TMs in order to properly prepare for the big fight, though it likely won’t be needed.
More details about upcoming events should arrive throughout the final days of the Season of Mischief. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
