November is coming to a close and it's time for Pokemon GO players to leave the Season of Light behind and move into a new era. As The Season of Mythical Wishes kicks off, players are going to get started with an action-packed December that includes a ton of special events and activities to stay busy during the holiday season in the mobile AR game.

Players are in for another busy end of year Community Day that features the return of a ton of favorites along with tons of other events. There's a two-part Pokemon GO holiday special event that is likely going to be very popular and a long list of other activities for players to enjoy as they head out and start taking advantage of all of the Mythical Wishes season bonuses and features that are active in the game starting December 1.

The holidays are always a busy time in Pokemon GO and it seems like 2022 is no exception. In addition to the massive Community Day recap event and the other holiday activities, there will also be a Hoenn Mega Raid Day that features the debut of three brand new Mega evolutions in the game.

The Season of Mythical Wishes begins!

Mythic Blades Event

From December 6 to December 11, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. local time to 8:00 p.m. local time, the first ever Mythic Blades event will take place.

Winter Holiday Part 1

From December 15 to December 23, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. local time to 10:00 a.m. local time, the first part of the Winter Holidays event occurs.

Winter Holiday Part 2

From December 23 to December 31, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. local time to 08:00 p.m. local time, the second part of the Winter Holidays event occurs.

During Part 2 of the Winter Holiday event you’ll be able to make a wish, and choose one of the following extra bonuses:

  • 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period.
  • 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon

Heading to Hoenn Mega Raid Day

On December 3, 2022, 2:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. local time, the Heading to Hoenn Mega Raid Day is upon us. Mega Sceptile, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Swampert, will all make their debut!

Something Extraordinary: Keldeo Special Research

From December 10 to December 11, 2022, Something Extraordinary: Keldeo Special Research will be available from 10:00 a.m. local time to 8:00 p.m. local time.​​​​​​​

Elite Raids

December, 11am, 2pm and 5pm local time, the second ever Elite Raids will be taking place.​​​​​​​

December Community Day

From December 17 to December 18 2022, 2:00 p.m. local time to 5:00 p.m. local time, December Community Day will bring back all the Community Pokémon featured in 2022.

Winter Wonderland Event

From December 24 to December 25, 2022, 10:00 a.m. local time to 8:00 p.m. local time the Winter Wonderland event is here.

Hisuian Avalugg Raid Day

On December 24, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. local time to 5:00 p.m. local time Hisuian Avalugg Raid Day will occur.

Spotlight Hours

From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, the following Pokémon will be featured during these dates in December:

December 6 - Wooper

2× Stardust for catching Pokémon

December 13 - Spheal

2× XP for catching Pokémon

December 20 - Bergmite

2× candy for catching Pokémon

December 27 - Cubchoo

2× Candy for transferring Pokémon

Raid Hours

From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, the following Pokémon will be featured in increased numbers in Five Star Raids during these dates in October:

Virizion - December 7, 2022, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time

Terrakion - December 14, 2022, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time

Cobalion - December 21, 2022, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time

Kyurem - December 28, 2022, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time
