Pokemon GO's final Community Day event of 2019 is just around the corner and it's time to look back on all of the featured Pokemon who have been put in the spotlight this year. Players will have more time than usual for the special Community Day weekend to get out and take advantage of all of the exciting bonuses and opportunities.
There's a lot going on for the year end Community Day event in Pokemon GO, so fans should be sure to take some time to prepare and plan for the big day. Figure out which Pokemon and bonuses are most important to you and plan your weekend around those goals.
The basic idea of Community Day is pretty simple: Go out and catch a ton of pokemon for three hours, but this time around things are different. The spawns will appear throughout the weekend, but special bonuses will only be available during a three hour window on both December 14 and 15. For players who need a little more direction than that, we’ve put together a comprehensive guide full of all the intel you need for the big day.
Featured Pokemon and Exclusive Moves
The special moves for all of the featured evolutions will be available for Pokemon evolved during the three day event window.

Slakoth - Body Slam
Mudkip - Hydro Canon
Ralts - Synchronoise

Trapinch - Earth Power
Chimchar - Blast Burn

December 14 and December 15
Bonus Times (Both Days)
11am to 2pm local time
Bonuses
2x Catch Stardust
2x Catch XP
1/2 Egg Hatch Distance
Limited Time Field Research
Recent updates to the game’s code suggest that this Community Day, like last month’s, will temporarily offer special Field Research tasks that put an emphasis on the group of featured Pokemon. Be sure to claim your rewards and clear out a space for these quests if you want to see them.
Shiny Variant
We know for sure that all of these Pokemon have shiny variants, but what we don't know is when their spawn rates will be increased. People are speculating that the increased shiny rates will only take place during the three-hour bonus window, but we don't know that for sure yet. Either way, it should become very clear starting on Friday afternoon.
These are a ton of exciting bonuses, so players will definitely want to take a break from collecting the most powerful Unova region Pokemon in the game to prepare for the upcoming event.
Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
