Every month, Pokemon GO players can look forward to a new Community Day event where they can enjoy increased spawn rates for specific Pokemon, along with a greater chance of catching a shiny. Sometimes Pokemon GO hosts bonus Community Day Classic events, with the next one confirmed for Sunday, April 10.

Niantic has announced that the next Pokemon GO Community Day Classic event will take place on April 10 from 2:00 to 5:00pm local time. Titled "Memories of Mudkip," this Pokemon GO Community Day Classic event will give players the opportunity catch Mudkip and its shiny variant. And like with other Community Day events, this Pokemon GO Community Day Classic includes the opportunity for players to get an exclusive attack.

If Pokemon GO players successfully evolve Mudkip to Marshtomp and then Marshtomp to Swampert within the event window, they'll get the Hydro Cannon Charged Attack. It will take 125 Mudkip candy to do this, but there should be so many Mudkip out and about during the Community Day Classic event that it should be no trouble. Hydro Cannon has 80 power during Pokemon GO Trainer battles and 90 power when using Swampert in Gyms and Raids.

Niantic sells special limited-time Special Research events for $1.00 during Community Day events, and one will be available for this Pokemon GO Mudkip Community Day Classic as well. Players will also be able to buy a special Community Day Box for 850 PokeCoins that comes with various items to help them with their Mudkip hunting, not to mention a free bundle that gets them 30 Ultra Balls. As revealed by Niantic, the Pokemon GO Community Day Box comes with 15 Ultra Balls, 15 Pinap Berries, 1 Elite Fast TM, and 1 Remote Raid Pass.

As usual, Pokemon GO players can look forward to other bonuses while the event is live. In this case, there will be 3x catch XP, plus Incense and Lure Modules will last three hours as long as they're activated while the event is live. There's also a chance of running into Smeargle if one takes snapshots during the event.

The Mudkip Community Day Classic event will take place on April 10 and is just one of the big events that Niantic has planned for Pokemon GO next month. Pokemon GO has a very busy April ahead of it, with a number of special events and new Pokemon additions for fans to look forward to.
