Niantic has revealed that Togetic will be the Pokemon of Pokemon GO's April 2023 Community Day. The adorable Pokemon will be the star of next month's edition of the highly anticipated Pokemon GO event, where trainers can earn significant rewards. Community Day is also a great opportunity to capture new Pokemon and expand Pokedex records.

Pokemon GO players recently participated in the March 2023 Community Day, in which Pokemon GO technically had two Pokemon. Slowpoke was the star of the event with its original Gen 1 form and its Galarian form that debuted in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Players had the chance to capture the Water/Psychic-type Pokemon and evolve it into Slowbro or Slowking on Community Day, with a powerful version of Surf. With the end of the Slowpoke event, Niantic is already gearing up for next month and offers players the first information about April's Community Day.

Togetic will be the Pokemon for April Community Day 2023, giving players the chance to capture the Pokemon that evolves into Togekiss, one of the best Fairy-type available in Pokemon GO. The event will take place on April 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, increasing the chances of encountering wild Togetic - including shiny, for the luckiest. Players who evolve Togetic during the event, or up to five hours afterward, will get a Togekiss that knows Charged Attack Aura Sphere. On this day Pokemon GO will also have four-star Raid Battles in which it will only be possible to participate using Raid Passes, and Premium Battle Passes. Winning one of these raids will make more Togetic appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes.

The event will also have bonuses like 2x Candy when capturing Pokemon, and a Community Day Special Research story exclusive to Togetic. Players will also receive up to 5 Sinnoh Stones when completing Timed Research tasks focused on the evolution of Togepi, one of the most adorable baby Pokemon. Likewise, Togetic's Community Day will feature themed stickers and rewards like Ultra Balls upon completing Community Day-themed Field Research tasks.

The announcement of Togetic's Community Day got a positive reception from Pokemon GO players, who are already starting to talk about how to get the best out of the event. It is not easy to catch a Togetic in Pokemon GO, with the Pokemon having only a 20% base catch rate. Thus, it is understandable that players may have an extra interest in this event.

Pokemon GO is available now on Android and iOS devices.
