November is now officially underway and Pokemon GO trainers have tons of activities to partake in. As the community wraps up the final bits of last month’s rotating content, it won’t be long before a new batch of Legendary Raid Bosses arrive in the mobile AR game.
Once Darkrai finishes its time in the spotlight, the tier 5 Battle Raid scene will once again offer a chance to battle the Swords of Justice: Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion. Each third of the trio has their own strengths, so Pokemon GO players will want to update all of their counter rosters with the latest powerhouses in anticipation of the fights kicking off on November 5.
Cobalion is a Gen 5 Steel- and Fighting-Type Legendary. That means that Pokemon GO players are going to want to bust out their strongest Fire-, Fighting-, and Ground-types for these Raids. Cobalion isn't quite as tough as some of the other Legendaries if the group has the right counters equipped and a high level group of players could pretty usually take these raids down with 3-5 participants. Lower level groups will want to stick with 5-7 players to be safe.

As always, it’s not the end of the world if a trainer can’t assemble the perfect counter roster based on these suggestions. The most important thing is to enter the battle with enough friends (at least three or four mid- to high-level players) and to focus on using Pokemon that take advantage of the boss’ weaknesses. Raiders should have a decent amount of Fire-, Fighting-, or Ground-types Pokemon powered up, so that’s a good place to start. Don’t hesitate to burn through some Stardust, Rare Candy, and TMs in order to properly prepare for the big fight.
More details about upcoming events should arrive throughout the final days of the Season of Mischief. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
