Like most legendary Pokemon, Darkrai is highly sought-after by the Pokemon GO community, especially since capturing him requires players to successfully defeat him in a raid first. Pokemon GO raids can be challenging for players who can't get a group organized, but there are apps that make it easier for players to enlist the aid of those with remote raid passes to help take down Legendary Pokemon.
Getting a legendary Pokemon can sometimes be a Herculean feat in and of itself for Pokemon GO players, especially those that live in more rural areas.
