A Pokemon GO player decided to go to church for the first time in six years and walked with a shiny Darkrai with perfect stats. Pokemon GO places PokeStops, gyms, and more at public places, which includes churches.

Pokemon GO players have actually gotten in trouble playing the game in church. Six years ago, a Russian Pokemon GO player faced jail time after being caught playing the popular augmented reality mobile game in church. Other Pokemon GO players have had more positive experiences, with one having successfully caught a shundo Darkrai after going to church for the first time in six years.

Pokemon GO Player Hits Level 40 by Themselves and Without Spending Any Money

A Pokemon GO player reaches level 40 without spending any money on Niantic's game, and shows how far a free-to-play trainer can go.

This is according to Reddit user FeelingSector6756, who shared an image of their shiny Darkrai on Pokemon GO subreddit. Darkrai is a Dark-type legendary Pokemon that first debuted in the Generation 4 Pokemon games. Like most legendary Pokemon, Darkrai is highly sought-after by the Pokemon GO community, especially since capturing him requires players to successfully defeat him in a raid first. Pokemon GO raids can be challenging for players who can't get a group organized, but there are apps that make it easier for players to enlist the aid of those with remote raid passes to help take down Legendary Pokemon.

Getting a legendary Pokemon can sometimes be a Herculean feat in and of itself for Pokemon GO players, especially those that live in more rural areas. What's even more difficult is getting a shiny Legendary Pokemon. And what's even more difficult than that is getting a shiny Legendary Pokemon with perfect stats, which makes FeelingSector6756's Darkrai even more impressive. But while getting a shiny Pokemon with perfect stats is rare, it's even rarer to get one with the worst stats possible.

Shundos are extremely rare in Pokemon GO, but their opposites, nundos, are even harder for players to catch. Various factors make it so most Pokemon in Pokemon GO can't spawn as nundos, which is why one player's recent nundo Gastly catch generated such a buzz in the Pokemon GO community.

Pokemon GO players will continue to share their impressive catches with others, though fans shouldn't expect to set out and amass too large a collection of shundos and nundos. These Pokemon are some of the rarest available in Pokemon GO, and so it's better to look at them as a nice bonus as opposed to something players should actively attempt to farm in the augmented reality mobile game.

Pokemon GO is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
