Of all the Ghost types in the game, several are available in shiny Pokemon form as well, including Gastly and Haunter. Ghost types are weak against Dark types and other Ghost types. They resist Bug and Poison and are immune to Fighting and Normal. Ghost types are strong against Ghost types and Psychic types, resist Dark, and are immune to Normal-type damage.

Catching a Ghost Type Pokemon

Ghost type Pokemon in Pokemon GO are incredibly rare and can be difficult to catch. They only show up at night for the most part, with the exception of some foggy days and some previous Pokemon GO Halloween events and research tasks' rewards. So players will have to start looking for the ghost-types of their choice right around 8PM at the earliest and 7AM at the latest. The peak time to catch these fiends is around 2am. Thankfully, there are no terrain criteria for ghost type Pokemon, so players should be able to find them just about everywhere.

Players can also get lucky and catch ghost types during the day in raids and for research task rewards if they are not up for staying up past their bedtimes. Hopefully, the number of Ghost type Pokemon will be expanded for Pokemon GO, giving players more chances to catch the spookier pocket monsters.

If fans are lucky, this will be the year Pokemon GO will add Gen 6 Pokemon to the game, so they will get to see fan-favs like Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist.

Pokemon GO is available for most mobile devices.
