There is a set of Timed Research at the center of the Pokemon GO Battle Weekend, and it requires players to make a choice upon reaching Step 2. More specifically, fans must decide between taking the GO Battle League path and the Raids, Grunts, and Gyms path, though they may be unclear about which option is best. For those players that would like to know more about the Pokemon GO Battle Weekend Challenge Timed Research before making their decision, this guide contains a complete list of its tasks and rewards.

Before providing full details on the Battle Weekend Challenge Timed Research, it is worth mentioning that the rewards are identical across both paths. As such, players need only to consider the tasks when deciding between the GO Battle League path and the Raids, Grunts, and Gyms path, and their names provide big clues about the types of activities that they feature. Indeed, fans that want to participate in PoGO's Battle League should pick the first option, while those that prefer to focus on Raids, Team GO Rocket, and Gyms should pick the second.

To note, the Raids, Grunts, and Gyms path does have some overlap with Pokemon GO's Field Notes: Team GO Rocket Special Research. This may entice players to choose that path, though the GO Battle League option may be easier overall. This is due to the fact that it is not always easy to find a solid group for raiding, and indeed the two tasks on the Raids, Grunts, and Gyms path that center around that activity may give fans some trouble.

One other thing to point out is that the Party Hat Charizard that is awarded at the end of Step 3 will know both Blast Burn and Dragon Breath. While it is true that this is not the absolute-best moveset for the Fire-type Pokemon, this Charizard is a decent offensive option. Players may even decide that they want to test its strength in the GO Battle League or against Team GO Rocket before GO Battle Weekend reaches its end.
