Pokemon GO continues the current season by offering a variety of content to keep players interested. Among them, players will see the return of the variant of one of the most popular events in Niantic's game.

Community Day is a recurring event that takes place monthly to celebrate the Pokemon GO community. Recently players participated in April's Community Day featuring Togetic, which allowed players to obtain items and capture the lovable evolution of Togepi. In 2022, Pokemon GO introduced the Community Day Classic, an extra event that revisits Pokemon that have been featured in previous Community Days. With this, players have a new chance to expand their Pokedex registry and grind items.

April's Community Day Classic will feature a Swinub-themed Field Research, where capturing the Pokemon will earn players rewards like Sinnoh Stone and Ultra Balls. By completing the Timed Research tasks it will be possible to obtain up to four Sinnoh Stones. The event will also feature a $1 ticket that will give access to Swinub's Special Research story. On Swinub's Community Day Classic, players will earn bonuses like 3x Stardust for capturing Pokemon. Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event will last up to three hours. Pokemon GO also promises a surprise for players who take snapshots during the event.

Pokemon GO's Community Day Classic is a good opportunity for players who missed the original Pokemon event to participate. This was, in fact, one of the reasons for the positive reception of Swinub's Community Day Classic announcement. Part of Pokemon GO players showed excitement to capture a better version of Swinub and get the items to evolve it into Mamoswine, which is among the best Ice-type Pokemon in the franchise. The community also liked the new Pokemon GO event, as they will obtain items to improve any Mamoswine already captured by players.
