Timed Research is at the center of Pokemon GO's Anniversary Event 2022, and it unfolds over the course of six steps. Each of these steps is composed of numerous tasks, giving players the opportunity to earn a variety of exciting rewards. For those fans that would like to learn more about these rewards and their associated tasks, full details on the Pokemon GO Anniversary Event 2022 Timed Research can be found in this guide.

To note, this Timed Research is a great way to earn two Pokemon that are making their debut as part of PoGO's Anniversary Event 2022. Indeed, players can obtain both Cake Costume Pikachu and Party Hat Charmander as rewards for completing the first two steps of the Research, though they will need to act relatively quickly. This urgency is due to the fact that the event will end on July 12 at 8pm local time, and the Timed Research will not be available thereafter.

pokemon go anniversary event 2022 field research

As previously mentioned, Cake Costume Pikachu and Party Hat Charmander are among the rewards granted through Pokemon GO's Anniversary Event 2022 Timed Research, though they are certainly not the only prizes that players will want to earn. The Pansear encounter that is awarded at the end of Step 3, for example, will be of great interest to many fans, as that Fire-type Pokemon is region exclusive. The Wash Rotom encounter in Step 6 is also quite exciting due to the rarity of that Pokemon.

With respect to the tasks, the vast majority of them are very simple to complete. There are some that may give players a bit of trouble, though, such as the task that instructs fans to battle another Trainer with their buddy Pokemon while adventuring. Fortunately, this can be resolved by battling a Team Leader in PoGO, and that is perhaps the easiest way to address the task.

The task that requires players to battle in two Raids may also seem a bit tricky upon first glance, as only one Battle Pass is awarded through the Timed Research. That said, it is usually possible to complete these types of tasks with a single pass. This is done by joining a Raid, intentionally failing it, and then rejoining, and Pokemon GO players that have a limited number of Battle Passes should consider trying this method.

Pokemon GO is available now on mobile devices.
