Pokemon GO trainers may not be able to go out and walk around cities to hatch Eggs quite as freely as they could a few months ago, but that doesn't mean that the Egg distance feature is no longer a part of the mobile AR experience. Egg rotations are still happening in the game and the current phase of the Throwback Celebration event is placing some of the most exciting rewards inside the game's distance locked items.

When the massive Throwback Celebration 2020 finally comes to an end, there will still be some pretty exciting hatches available from some of the mobile AR game's Egg items. The 7km Eggs available through Gifts in Pokemon GO often have some of the best hatches and it sounds like that spot is being reserved for Alolan and Galarian forms when the current event wraps up.

Starting on June 8, the available Pokemon in 7km Eggs will be a smaller list, but a pretty exciting one. There's going to be the chance to catch some very cool newly available Alolan and Galarian forms, along with some that have been in the game for a while, but can be hard to find.

It appears something strange will be happening to the Eggs you can receive from Gifts—certain Pokémon’s Alolan and Galarian forms will be hatching from all 7 km Eggs! We aren’t sure how long this phenomenon will last, but we can assure you that Professor Willow is on the case.

When the Throwback Challenge event ends on Monday, June 8, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. local time, the following will be the only Pokémon hatching from 7 km Eggs until further notice.

Galarian Meowth

Galarian Zigzagoon

Galarian Darumaka

Galarian Stunfisk

Alolan Sandshrew

Alolan Vulpix

Alolan Diglett

Alolan Meowth

Alolan Geodude

Alolan Grimer
